Velbon (Velbon Tripod Co., Ltd.) is a manufacturer of photographic accessories, specialising in tripods.
Based in Japan and established in the 1950s, it has three manufacturing facilities, one each in Japan, Taiwan and China.

I can speak for Velbon when I say, having own two models of their tripods (and undoubtedly more in the future) their products are certainly one of the best in the market- and I would certainly recommend them to any photographer- amateur OR professional.
